MY SKIN SEEMS TO BE REACTING TO SUPERFADE FACE CREAM?

Irritation can include redness and itching. Ensure Superfade Face Cream is used only as a spot treatment. “Normal” skin surrounding the marks may be affected

Mild irritation – Recommend continuing treatment as the skin gets used to Superfade. Frequency of treatment can be reduced and gradually increased to 3 times a day.

Severe irritation – may be a reaction, cease treatment.

CAN I CONTINUE TO USE MY RETINOL/MASK/CHEMICAL PEEL/SCRUB WITH SUPERFADE?

Superfade is a potent medicine and should only be used as directed on the packaging. Some cosmetics may cause interactions with Superfade. We cannot comment on the potential for these interactions.

We recommend using a mild cleanser and moisturiser. Use a SPF 30 sunscreen when skin is exposed to the sun.

HOW LONG BEFORE I START TO NOTICE A DIFFERENCE?

Pigmentation develops over a long period of time. Superfade Cream and Face Cream work gradually and results should be evident after 6 weeks if the directions are followed.

WHAT IF I DON’T SEE AN IMPROVEMENT?

Fading is gradual, and can take several months. If fading is not evident after 3 months, ask your doctor for advice.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUPERFADE CREAMS AND ACCELERATOR?

CAN SUPERFADE BE USED TO FADE FRECKLES?

Freckles can be very stubborn as they have usually been present for a long time. Best results can be achieved by using Superfade Cream or Face Cream 3 times a day for at least 6-8 weeks in conjunction with Superfade Accelerator Serum.

Ensure skin is protected from further sun damage by using an SPF30+ sunscreen.

CAN SUPERFADE BE USED TO FADE ACNE SCARS?

Skin trauma can result in Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH). This is most common in darker skins. Acne scarring can result in unwanted pigmentation on the face Hydroquinone is first-line therapy for PIH. Superfade Face Cream can help fade the pigment in these scars

CAN SUPERFADE BE USED DURING PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING?

Superfade Cream and Superfade Face Cream are Pharmacy Medicines.

There is no specific data regarding pregnancy or breastfeeding, however we recommend that application of the creams should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We recommend discussing with a doctor.

MY SUPERFADE CREAM HAS CHANGED COLOUR, IS IT OK?

Superfade Creams are white and creamy but may darken on exposure to air, but this does not affect its efficacy.

If the cream splits, the tube should be shaken thoroughly.

All Superfade products should be stored under 25°C in a cool, dry place.

This medicine may not be right for you.  Read the label before purchase.  If symptoms worsen or change unexpectedly, talk to your health professional.  Follow the directions for use.
